Ductless Heat Pumps

Ductless Heat Pumps have been around for years, huge over in Asia and Europe, used mostly in commercial installations in the US, over the past few years there have been literally tens of thousnads of installations in homes across the states.  Why the change?  Significant improvements in efficiency and air distribution technology plus the ability to use multiple indoor heads off of one outdoor unit make these systems practical whole house heating systems.  With inverter technology (DC drive instead of AC drive) these units can outperform most geothermal systems without the huge investment.  Outstanding comfort levels are provided because the Inverter units allow the system to float along with your homes demand for heat, giving you just the amount you need and no temperature spikes.  The almost constant airflow, at very low levels, keeps the temperature evened out in your home reducing hot and cold spots.  Installations are very reasonable because the labor intensive cost of adding ductwork to an exisiting home is eliminated.  Simple piping of refrigerant lines and running the electrical will get the heat to where you need it.  Ductless heat pumps are also the perfect solution to those living in flood areas - the small outdoor units can be mounted to the outside wall of your home and the lines are all run overhead.  Take a look at these systems and get a hold of one of our consultants, we're always available to answer your questions.
